GDPR – Final Stretch!
In May 2018, the new (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect.
This entails far-reaching changes for businesses and requires proactive action before it takes effect. We have examined this requirement, which has been the subject of intense discussion everywhere for months. In doing so, we were also able to draw on numerous insights from our network of partners and manufacturers. Our findings and solutions were also presented and discussed during a well-attended “Hüttentalks” event in December 2017.
The starting points appear to be quite complex. First, it is necessary to determine the extent to which a company is affected by the GDPR and how these changes can be managed. There are numerous organizational aspects to consider in this regard.
From a technical perspective, we have also identified a wide range of tools within our service, product, and vendor portfolios that can support not only the data protection requirements that will be mandatory in the future, but also data security in general.
